_Blue Skies And Bars_
_Blue Skies and Bars_
I found out I have a brother a few years back.
Ive never seen him, ive talked to him once.
When I was fourteen.
Three years have past since that call and I'm still left wondering.
Whats he like?
Whats he look like?
Is he nice?
Theres one problem to these questions that may keep me from finding out.
In my community, I have a name.
In his, he has a number.
I can go out to eat.
Most of all I have a room in my house.
He has a cell in a prison for life.
My parents visited him recently.
I wasnt allowed to go because of the government.
they told me that I look so much like him its scary.
But I'm still left wondering these same questions and new ones.
Do I really look like him?
Will I grow up like him?
Is he still nice?
Until I meet him I will still be left wondering.
With these blue skies and bars...

_In the mirror__In the mirror_
In the eyes of the people,
Hes always looked so magnificent.
But to himself in the mirror,
The truth set free.
He has been broken.
He wishes things will get better.
Until then he continues to fake happiness.
All the while, the truth is in the mirror.

The RainThe Rain.
As he wandered down this dark, cloudy road in the early morning it began to rain.
He just kept walking, he had no time to miss his bus.
The rain poured down on him as he turned down the main road towards his stop.
He reached that church parking lot and waited for the bus.
Suddenly the rain caught his attention and a thought crossed his mind.
"Why is god crying?"
Is it because there is nothing more he can do?
Is he dissapointed with his creations?
Is he just crying for relief?
Then a thought crossed his mind
Maybe hes lonely
After that he grew quiet and never questioned the rain again.
The ValleyThe valley.
Here I am.
Walking in this cold, heartless, valley of ice.
Shivering, never caring... All alone.
Then something happens.
The sun comes out.
The heartless ice starts to melt.
It feels...Nice, warm.
Then something else happens and the sun leaves.
But the ice keeps melting.
The warm feeling becomes one of sudden doom.
Im able to handle it at first, but there is no escaping the rushing tide of the water.
It gets dark, cold once again.
I become trapped in the now freezing ice forever.
Until the day the sun comes out again...
In this valley of ice.

The StationThe Station
There he was, he had so much to look forward to.
She told him that she wishes he could miss his train at least once.
The time came for his train to arrive to go home but it wasnt there...
Instead there was a different train.
It was the wrong train, it had many flashing lights, oh so inviting.
He knew that it wasnt the right one to get on but it was so tempting, he did.
He climed aboard and it left the station.
It was a long peaceful trip until it derailed and left him alone and fragile.
No one could help him this time, it was what he deserved for getting on the wrong one.
He should have waited for the right train.
Or just missed it in general.

The Runaway pt2The Runaway Pt 2
The cold morning is brisk against his ears.
He hears that some old thud of footsteps he had heard before.
The plan was in place once again.
No one wants him here, everyone hates him here.
The same suitcase full of clothes and pockets full of money aid his quest.
No calls this time, not until hes gone.
He hides as the bus drives past and keeps walking.
It starts to rain...He keeps walking
Nothing is going to stop him.
He finally makes it to the station.
He orders his ticket and waits for the bus.
As he is about to take that step on the bus he takes one look back to see if she would be there to stop him again.
She wasnt, she kept him here longer than he intended.
He got on and never looked back.
He had finally run away...
